Introduction

A series of workshops with a number of primary schools in Oxfordshire. The aim of the workshops was to make a response to an exhibition of modern christian art - 'The Colour of Love'.

The children were asked to consider both religious and non- religious responses to the work on show. Children were encouraged to think about shape, line and colour in their work. They were only given one A4 sheet of tracing paper and felt-tip pens to encourage them to think about how they might use mistakes and recover from problems in making their work. To learn to take risks with confidence.

The individual drawings were then compiled into large collages for display in the church windows as part of the exhibition
